How do I add a Resource to my Academy?

In this article, you’ll learn step by step how to set up a Resource, such as a Simulator, in your Academy. We’ll guide you through adding and connecting the Simulator, and then show you how to schedule appointments with it.

In this article, we will show and advise you on how to create the following settings:

Adding a Resource to your Academy:

In Academy > Settings > Resources, you can create your Simulator. Follow the steps to configure the Resource settings according to your preferences. You can specify the number of Simulators, define their availability, and customize the Simulator Agenda settings.


Connecting your Resource to your agenda and setting up appointment types:

Once you’ve created your Simulator, you’ll need to assign it to your Academy Agenda to ensure it’s linked to the correct location (especially if you manage multiple locations). After that, you can begin creating your Simulator appointment types.

To create a new appointment type, go to Academy > Settings > Appointment Types > Add Appointment. In the appointment overview, make sure to select “Resource Appointment” and assign your Simulator. Then, set the price, duration, and adjust the remaining settings as needed. When you’re finished, click “Add Appointment.”

Scheduling an appointment for your Resource:

Now that all your settings are configured, it’s time to create a booking in your new Simulator Agenda. Navigate to Academy > Academy Agenda to open the Agenda overview. Select the desired day and time for the appointment, choose the appointment type, and assign a client and resource. Review all the details, then click “Save.” Your appointment is now successfully scheduled in the Simulator Agenda.

Making a Pricing Period for your Resource:

Setting up a Pricing Period for your Simulator is optional, but if you’d like to enable this feature, follow the steps below.

  • Navigate to Academy > Settings > Pricing Periods and add a new period. Enter a name and description, along with the start and end dates, then select Add.
  • Next, choose "Times" to define when this period should be active. Select the desired days and time ranges, then click Close.
  • After that, select "Assign" and choose the Simulator(s) this Pricing Period should apply to. If you have multiple Simulators, select all that are relevant.

Once this is complete, go to your "Appointment Types" and open one. Under the Price section, click "Pricing Periods" and select the period you just created. Enter the price you want to apply during the active hours of this Pricing Period, then click "Save" and update the appointment.

You have now successfully added a Pricing Period to your Simulator appointment type. Repeat this process for any other appointment types as needed.
